Apple Monday released three new updates for its suite of devices. For iPhone, iOS 15.4; for iPad, iPadOS 15.4; for Mac, macOS 12.3. These three updates introduce new features, changes, and bug fixes for their respective platforms, but they also patch security flaws with previous software versions.

Unlike other platforms, Apple often doesn’t advertise its security upgrades as part of its software updates. When you see an update hit your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you’ll see a list of fun new features, as well as bug fixes the updates provide. However, in order to learn what security vulnerabilities were patched with the update, you need to check Apple’s security website.

It is advisable to upgrade your supported Apple devices as soon as possible. For any devices owned by a corporation, however, refer to their instructions for when to install updates.
